New for 2022, reconnect with your friends and reap the health rewards of braving the ice-cold waters found at 55 degrees north.
The experience includes a series of exhilarating ice/cold water dips in a North East beauty spot, followed by a traditional Finnish tent sauna.
Cycles of cold water immersion and heat therapy are proven to boost your overall wellbeing - reducing inflammation and lifting your mood.
You and your friends will also have access to a 10-person Finnish Army tent with its own log burning stove. In here, you can chill out and enjoy delicious local food cooked over an open flame by the camp chef provided.

SUP Cook Out
Combine a scenic stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) tour with a taste of cooking in the wild.
After paddling to a secluded spot, you’ll learn how to prepare brunch over an open flame at the water’s edge using expedition cooking methods. Menu options include the Geordie Full English and Vegan Full English, with all of the ingredients coming from local suppliers.
To ensure that no food waste enters the natural environment, the tour follows strict ‘Leave No Trace’ principles.

Witness a spectacular urban light show from the water by signing up for our award-winning Quayside Glow Tours.
As the dark nights roll in, Newcastle Gateshead Quayside provides a mesmerising backdrop with the twinkling city lights and the changing colours of the Millennium Bridge. Paddle along this historic river on an illuminated kayak, as our guides point out some of the city’s famous landmarks.
You can warm up afterwards with a complimentary drink at Gino D'ACampo's Bar and Grill in the newly opened INNSiDE Hotel.

Tyne Bridges and Quayside Tour
A unique and award-winning way to see the city.
Newcastle Gateshead Quayside is steeped in history and features some of the region’s most iconic landmarks, including the Tyne Bridge, the Sage Gateshead, and the Millennium Bridge.
Our guided kayak tour along the river takes in all of these sights and more. You’ll also get to enjoy tales of the city’s past, present and future.

As sea conditions become more challenging, you have to be creative to find great spots to paddle.
Our Autumn/Winter series is designed for those who want to explore new places and develop their planning skills. You’ll meet your instructor at a central location, look at the weather and decide on the best venue.

If braving the elements is not your thing, fear not, our online coaching webinars are back.
From October to March, tune in to our fortnightly Zoom broadcasts on Wednesday evenings. We will tackle topics from choosing the right kit to understanding forecasts, to top local paddling spots and beyond.
We always have time for interaction and questions too.

Winter Hires
Hire a kayak or paddle board for a full 7 days and go where the mood takes you.
As the weather becomes more unpredictable, we've switched to a week-to-week service for our equipment hires. Collect your kayak or SUP on a Friday and return it the following week.
We'd recommend exploring some of the beautiful inland and sheltered water spots around the North East.
SUPs are provided deflated with their pump, bag and a quick release waist leash. Kayaks are best transported on a roof rack (not provided). All hires include a buoyancy aid, paddle and roof rack straps.
